Zhora Krupin

BIO

A cinematographer who knows the rules — and how to bend them.

He could’ve been a lawyer (and probably a good one), but chose a different kind of courtroom: the film set. Zhora entered the industry straight in as a Director of Photography — skipping the slow climb, skipping the doubts.

What sets him apart is complete dedication. Early in his career, he personally tested nearly every lens and filter available in Moscow — not for the sake of it, but to deeply understand the tools he works with.

Zhora believes in studying each project in detail to uncover the real message — not just to make something "pretty." “An image isn’t decoration. It speaks, it makes you feel and think. Creating it is a complex process that demands deep understanding of a project’s goals — so that the visual becomes part of the story itself.”

He doesn’t shy away from responsibility, makes fast decisions, and knows when to enhance rather than reinvent. “I believe a cinematographer should never say ‘NO’. He should always ask ‘HOW?’ and offer solutions.”

Together with Zhora, we’re ready to ask the right questions — and find the right answers for your project.
